The Ruth Castle Shield and the Vice Captain’s Trophy were duly completed. Murray Henshall won the Charlotte Millar GC level singles Trophy, and Rod Templeman won the GC handicap Ruth Castle Shield.
CLUB PLAYING DAYS DURING LAWN REFURBISHMENT ...
* Association Croquet will be played on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings,
* Golf Croquet will be played on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday mornings.
Members may use lawn D at other times, but may have to share it.
Winter playing time started on Monday April 2nd, members should please aim to be at the club by 09.30 starting time commencing at 10:00.
Visitors are welcome ... $5 for members of other clubs, worldwide, $7 for non members.
The pétanque terrain is open for play to both full and social members, interested visitors should complete the enquiry form on this website.
NOTE: JUMP AND HAMMER SHOTS ARE STILL PERMITTED, BUT MEMBERS ARE REMINDED THAT LAWN DAMAGE INFLICTED BY THE MALLET RESULTING FROM SUCH SHOTS IS A STRIKING FAULT ... See page 184 12. (b) of the CNZ Year Book.
Free coaching will again be available to all members by special arrangement with Rod once the lawns have been refurbished, and prospective members may request up to 3 hours of coaching without charge.
Officers for the 2017/18 season are as follows: Garth Cumberland (President), Charlotte Millar (Event management and Vice Captain), Christopher Brotherton-Ratcliffe (Treasurer), Rod Templeman (Captain), Ulrike McLachlan (House Manager), John Sutton (Grounds Superintendant), Mike Lloyd (Fundraising), Murray Henshall, the position of Secretary is currently vacant but is being covered by John.
Twilight Croquet has finished for the season but will start again in October.
