The North Shore Croquet Club is situated at 5 Wairoa Road, Devonport, just along from the Waitemata Golf Club, and next door to the Plunket Rooms. The grounds are surrounded by picturesque turn-of-the-century wooden villas, a truly lovely location. There are four full-sized lawns and the clubrooms have had a rich and varied life and are primarily used by club members but are also available for hire.
Croquet offers both physical and mental exercise, companionship, can be casual or challenging (you choose), and suits all ages. Several forms of the game are played but all essentially involve a race using a mallet to get your ball through a number of hoops before your opponent does.
